When homeowners call me about house cleaning, the first question is almost always the same: what does it cost? I understand why. You want to plan for it, and you want to know you are not being overcharged. So let me walk you through how I price my work and what actually changes the number, the way I would explain it to a neighbor here in San Antonio.
Why I price by estimate, not by a flat list
I do not post a flat price list, and I do that on purpose. Every home is a little different, and a price that is fair for a small, well-kept apartment is not fair for a large family home that needs a deep clean. If I quoted one number for everyone, some people would pay too much and others too little for the work their home actually needs.
Instead, I start every job with a free estimate. You tell me about your home and the service you want, I ask a few questions, and I give you a clear price before any work starts. There is no obligation, and you know the number up front.
What affects the price of your cleaning
A few things change what your cleaning will cost. Here are the main ones.
The size of your home
A larger home simply takes more time. More rooms, more bathrooms, and more floor space mean more dusting, more wiping, and more vacuuming and mopping. When you request your estimate, tell me roughly how many bedrooms and bathrooms you have, and I can factor that in.
The condition of your home
A home that is kept up week to week takes less time than one that has not had a thorough clean in a while. If it has been a long time, or you are moving in or out, a deep cleaning or a move-in cleaning may be the right fit, and I will let you know in the estimate.
The type of service you choose
I offer several services, and they are priced for the work each one includes. Residential house cleaning is my signature service and covers kitchens, bathrooms, dusting, and floors. Deep cleaning adds detail work like grout, baseboards, and inside the oven and refrigerator on request. Move-out cleaning focuses on the spaces a landlord checks at handover. Office cleaning is scoped to your workspace. The more detail a service includes, the more time it takes, and that is reflected in the price.
How often we come
Recurring visits cost less per visit than a one-time clean, because a home that is cleaned regularly stays easier to maintain. If you are not sure how often you need us, my recurring weekly cleaning and bi-weekly house cleaning are both popular, and I can help you choose in your estimate.
Our services and what goes into them
Here is what I offer, so you can see how the work lines up with the price.
- Residential house cleaning — kitchens and bathrooms cleaned in full, rooms dusted, floors vacuumed and mopped, and the small details that make a home feel looked after.
- Standard house cleaning — the everyday upkeep for a home that is kept up.
- Deep cleaning — everything in a regular clean, plus grout, baseboards, door frames, and inside appliances on request.
- Move-in cleaning and move-out cleaning — a full clean for an empty home, focused on the spaces that matter at handover.
- Recurring weekly and bi-weekly cleaning — a set schedule so your home stays clean without you thinking about it.
- Office cleaning — desks, breakrooms, restrooms, trash, and floors.
I bring eco-friendly products to every job, so your home is clean without harsh chemical smells.
